 The expert for industrial archaeology, Hans-Peter Bärtschi, repeatedly travelled through numerous European countries, such as Germany, Austria, France, Spain, Portugal, Italy, the Netherlands, Belgium, Sweden, Finland, the Balkans, Turkey and Russia, and inspected their important industrial sites.At international congresses, he established valuable contacts to other industrial archaeology experts. SGTI, Swiss Society for History of Technology and Industrial Heritage, and Hans-Peter Bärtschi organised various international congresses. The cooperation with the German magazine for industrial archaeology has served as a new platform for an international exchange of information.
